What Is Gang Run?

A Gang Run, or Combination Run or Combo Run, is a term for printing multiple jobs in the same production run on a printing press. By printing jobs of a similar size from a multitude of customers, all at the same time, the cost of each job is substantially reduced.

By grouping any job with a number of other pieces on a large sheet one must expect varying colors and print quality from run to run. This type of printing is designed to be cheap, not precise, and one is not paying for exacting color standards. Gang runs, therefore, offer pleasing color only.
