What is Flexography Printing (Flexo Printing)?
Flexography can be very closely related to a common rubber-stamp. It is a raised image that is inked, when a paper is applied to the inked surface with slight pressure, the image from the raised parts of the plate are transferred to the paper. Although we talk about paper here, this process can be used for plastics, vinyl and other non offset friendly processes. The inks used in this process are either water based, alcohol based or ultra-violet (U.V.) based. The printing is mostly always done from rubber or plastic plates wrapped around a cylinder. This process is normally for continuous processes like rolls of labels or printed plastic bags that are finished to single bags after the printing process is complete.
To produce cheap printing for Brochures, Sell Sheets, Flyers, Leaflets, Business Cards, Post Cards etc., this process proves to be too inadequate to be utilized for these items.
